How To Join The FBC Family
We are a family of faith that worships together, grows together, serves together and reaches others for Jesus together. We are better together! Becoming a member of a local church identifies us with other people who share similar beliefs, values and practices. While we may not agree on everything, we do agree about those issues most important to us.
The most common time to join is during the time of Invitation after the pastor’s sermon. The pastor will invite you to come forward during that song to join the church in one of 3 ways:
First-time follower of Jesus: By making a public declaration of your faith in Jesus Christ and as a candidate to be baptized by immersion in water (to be scheduled at a later time).
Member of another Southern Baptist church (SBC): By transferring your membership upon receiving a letter of recommendation from that church.
Member of a non-Baptist church: By a statement of your faith in Jesus Christ already having been baptized by immersion after your salvation.
If you have any questions or concerns about church membership, please contact Pastor Greg Lewis. Anyone is welcome to attend worship or join one of our Sunday School classes or Bible study groups without being a member of the church.
