Prayer

God’s word tells us to, “pray without ceasing,” and to give our concerns to Him as well as lift up others in prayer (1 Thessalonians 5:16). According to Matthew’s account of the Gospel, Jesus tells us that, “…where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I with them” (18:20). Here at First Baptist Church we try not only to nurture growth in the personal prayer life of our congregation but also to offer opportunities to come together in prayer.  A weekly updated Prayer List can be found throughout the Church or in the Church Office.

Men’s Prayer Meeting

Wednesday mornings at 7:00 a.m. in the Conference Room.

Wednesday Evening Prayer Meeting

All are invited to join us at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday evenings as we gather in the Chapel for Prayer Meeting. After singing and sharing our praises and concerns, there is a brief devotional followed by a time of prayer.

Prayer Room

Located in the Fellowship Sunday School classroom in the Chapel, we have a Prayer Room which is open during regular church hours. Here you will find a book where you may write down any prayer concerns you have and how God has answered your prayers. You may also use the book to pray for others and praise God for the work He is doing in their lives. The Prayer Room has maps or our town, county, state, country, and world to encourage prayer for those around us.
